The Brief

To deliver an intimate wedding celebration centred on close family connection, with particular focus on ensuring elderly grandparents could fully participate in the day.

A long Italian lunch was selected to create a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere where conversation and shared time could take precedence over formal structure.

The event was intentionally designed to prioritise intergenerational connection, with pacing and spatial planning supporting meaningful family interactions throughout the celebration.

Delivery 

A deliberately intimate seating plan maintained proximity between family members across the lunch.

Service pacing incorporated extended pauses, allowing conversations and shared moments to unfold naturally.

The grandparents’ departure was intentionally designed, with the celebration pausing as family gathered outside to cheer them off, creating an intimate family connection before the festivities continued.

The celebration achieved a deeply personal atmosphere defined by sustained interaction, laughter and emotional connection across generations.

Due to unpredictable rain, weather contingency planning was implemented, reinforicing the importance of a thorough risk mitigation plan.
